TRUE STORY

Years ago I was asked to create a CARICATURE GIFT for someone's birthday present. The guest of honor was rather wealthy. The people who hired me said that "they'd enjoy giving him an ORIGINAL WORK OF ART (of him) because, hey, he's so wealthy that he can easily go out and buy himself a Rolex, a Mercedes, etc., but not a ONE-OF-A-KIND humorous drawing of him!!!" I was informed that the gift was his favorite. "Look! Look! I'm on the cover of FORBES Magazine!" He made sure everyone saw that particular gift.
THE END

Here's the point:  People treasure things that are HAND-MADE...especially if created FOR THEM...and ABOUT THEM! It shows that some creativity was put into the gift or award. I do not show a lot of samples because they are all different. Distinct. Almost always the logo of the company is inserted in the artwork. Some awards are fairly simple...meaning that the employee is doing one activity. For instance: I draw for a local restaurant each month an employee doing "their thing" ...such as cooking ribs, or as bartender, or as hostess, etc. Other clients want me to put in several things ( selling insurance, rooting for the Yankees, having their beer, etc., etc., plus the company logo)...which changes the cost a little. Sizes vary, as well. 11" x 14", 16" x 20", 18" x 24" are my three standard sizes. Sizes vary, activities vary... prices vary accordingly. Either way... these awards are very personal and always appreciated. Ask for info.
